Wrightsville Beach Plein Air Paintout and Sale at Harbor Way Gardens

I painted in beautiful locations all over the island for five days and created six paintings. We had a show and sale on the sixth day to benefit the Harbor Way Gardens. I had lots of happy buyers come by my tent booth!! Good week all around!

Azalea Festival Garden Tour Plein Air Paintout April 2024

I painted in the gardens for three days and then we had a “wet paint” sale at one of the homes on the tour. It was a chilly day, but we had lots of visitors and lots of sales!! I love painting in these gorgeous gardens!

Art In the Arboretum 2023

I had a booth at this three-day arts festival in Wilmington, NC on the grounds of the New Hanover Arboretum. Sold lots of artwork and prints, and made some nice new friends! October, 2023

2022 Azalea Plein Air Paint Out

Held during Wilmington's renowned Azalea Festival in partnership with the Cape Fear Garden Club during their Azalea Garden Tour. Every year the garden club features a unique selection of private and public gardens to showcase the best springtime beauty in the south. I will be working in the gardens to capture the gorgeous scenery along with a wonderful group of other talented artists.

All the artworks created during the paint out will be uploaded to a group website for sale. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the many charitable, educational and environmental grants provided by the Cape Fear Garden Club each year. To date, the garden club has awarded over $1 million dollars in grants to local and regional projects.

Wilmington’s 275th Anniversary week-long Plein Air event

What an adventure to paint in the rain and cold all week at Wilmington's 275th Anniversary plein air event and take home an award for "Rainy Day at the Railroad Museum"! The Paint Out included fifty-six artists from all over North Carolina, and was sponsored by the Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County. My life was enriched as I met volunteers and tourists who taught me a great deal about the city's railroad history while I persevered at this location: The Wilmington Railroad Museum. Plein air experience at its best!

Star News Commemorative Cup Award
